Our Clinics
We offer full 3 and 5-day clinics. The most popular is, of course, the 5 day because of its continuity in developing stronger skill levels. The clinics operate out of the mecca of Honshu Powder Havens – Madarao Mountian Resort
To register for one of our clinics, you’ll need to be at least an advanced beginner to low intermediate skier or snowboarder. For skiers, this means you can comfortably perform a Basic Christie turn. In layman’s terms, this basically means a refined and balanced snow plough turn. If you are a strong intermediate and have already mastered the parallel turn or even a carve turn that’s fantastic, we’ll have even more exciting places to explore, and new skills to learn!
Included with every 5 day booking, you receive FREE Complimentary Welcome and Farewell dinners.
Included with every 3 day booking, you receive a FREE Complimentary Welcome dinner….
How it all began
Action Snow Sports (aka Ski Action) was started by Peter Hillman in 2008. After becoming frustrated with working in different ski schools and other ski companies in Europe, Peter could see that while many Skiers & Boarders, haven taken lesson after lesson for many seasons could still not gain enough knowledge, skills, and mileage to make it all come together as they hoped. Ski holidays and 2 hr group lessons and perhaps even a few private ones thrown in, they still found it difficult to break through that intermediate barrier. These problems are evident in a wide range of skiers and boarders. Peter began researching his theories to develop a fast track learning system for both skiers and boarders that could not only help develop and refine their skills but also develop a better biomechanical understanding of the movements necessary to reach their goals.
Prior to this, Pete taught many skiers about many European ski resorts for almost a decade, from St Moritz – Verbier in Switzerland to Cortina & Corvara in the Italian Dolomites and Chamonix, Courcheval Morzine in France. However, for Pete it wasn’t only about skiing or getting better at it, he believes you need to have a balanced mix of skiing hard, developing better skills and technique, socializing and being saturated in the amazing Japanese culture and having more fun than you can poke a stick at.
